Stampin' Up! Shooting Star Project #1

Happy Monday, everyone!

I am so excited to be with you today.  I have a new series using the Shooting Star Bundle from the 2016-2017 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog!

I love this stamp set, but it's the coordinating framelits that really own my heart!  I have so many ideas racing in my mind on how to use this on holiday cards!

Let's get to today's card!  I had this idea when I very first saw both of the stamp sets. I really thought the combination of the Places You'll Go stamp set and the paper airplane from the Shooting Star stamp set would make an adorable baby card or even a graduation card.

Turns out I was right!  Not to toot my own horn or anything ;)

I think the A Little Foxy Designer Series Paper Stack is a perfect paper pack for cards for kiddos.  I wanted a background that was somewhat neutral.  Using a piece with a small, repeating, monochromatic palette, is a great way to accomplish that effect.

Dr. Seuss fans will recognize the sentiment! I used Pacific Point to stamp the globe, Cucumber Crush for the sentiment and Memento Tuxedo Black for the globe stand and the paper plane!

One of the interesting things about Stampin' Up! Ink is how it reacts with the Wink of Stella Glitter Pens.  I love how the Pacific Point was pulled from the edges of the globe.  I love the little bit of dimension, and shimmer, that Wink of Stella adds!

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Before you go, be sure to check out my August Promotions. Don't forget that the sign up for the August, Christmas Stamp-a-stacks ends this weekend!

  1. Hello Misty,
That is such a neat card. I really like the way the plane slides across. Cool idea.
    Have a great evening.
