Stampin' Up! Floral Phrases, Floral Bouquet DSP and Delicate Floral Thinlits Day 1

Yikes, talk about a title!

Hi everyone!  I am back today with a series that includes my most favorite item from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog!!

The Floral Bouquet Designer Series Paper caught my attention the moment I first laid eyes on it.  Be still my floral, navy loving heart!  Needless to say, you can anticipate a week full of Night of Navy and Copper Embossing :)

I am really trying to start these series with a simple card and end with something more complex.  This card could not be any easier!

The easies way to create a simple, but stunning card is to let the Designer Series Paper be the focus of the card.  I absolutely adore this floral from the Floral Bouquet DSP.  The trick to combining patterns is to either use both the A and B side, as I have done here, or mix a big, bold pattern with one that is more neutral or has a much smaller pattern.

Those this card is simple, I wanted to create a powerful focal image.  To do that, I used this Congratulations sentiment from the Floral Phrases stamp set and used the new Copper Embossing Powder to heat emboss the sentiment.  How gorgeous is that?!?!

I wanted to add a touch of embellishment without overwhelming the card.  If you have followed me for a while, you know one of my favorite things to do is color the White Perfect Accents with a Sharpie and add them to the card.  For this card, I used a Bronze Sharpie Marker on two of the large accents to create Copper Brads.  I love them and I love the dimension it adds to the card!

If you love this card, just wait for the other 2 in this series.  I think they will knock your socks off!

Before you go, check out my July promotions.  As always, thank you for stopping by!  You can watch the video here or over at Youtube!
