Hi everyone!
Happy Monday! Welcome to a new week of cards using products from the new 2017 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog! I am so excited for a new week and a new series. I hope that you are as well!
This week I will be using the Night in Bethlehem Bundle, the Wise Men From Afar stamp set and the Star of Light stamp set and framelits. These three sets go together beautifully! I think you will really love them.
The idea for this card came to be almost instantly. I knew that I wanted to create a scene with a foreground and background. I did this by using Vellum to create a difference in the tone of the colors!
I started by adding a piece of Crumb Cake card stock to my Night of Navy card base. I used one of the cityscape dies for the background. I did partial die cutting so that I could have a bigger base to the die. You can watch how I did this in the video below.
After adhering my star, I added the city on top. I heat embossed the Wise Men From Afar stamp, the star and the sentiment using our Copper Embossing Powder.
I used the largest label from the Lots of Labels thinlits to create a frame so that I would have a place to adhere my vellum.
