Hi everyone! I hope you got a peek, safely, at the Solar Eclipse! How cool for those of you in the path of totality!
Well, I interrupt your jubilance at the rotation of our solar system, with the first card in my 2017 Holiday Card Series!!! I am so excited to get started card making and I hope that you are ready as well! These products are featured in the 2017 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog! Be sure to request one if you need one!
My plan for this series is to make 10 cards using each bundle I showcase. I want to show you how to get the best value for your money!
Enough with the chatting, let's get to the details of today's gorgeous card! Those of you who have followed from the beginning know that Real Red and Pool Party is my most favorite combination for Christmas. I love those 2 colors together, but especially for the holidays. It made sense that my first card to kick off this year's holiday series would feature those 2 colors!
I started this card off by die cutting a piece of the Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper stack with the solid snowflake border die. I love that small detailing on the border. Next, I used a piece of Whisper White to die cut the delicate snowflake. Here's a tip, you really need the Precision Base Plate for the Big Shot for this die. It's extremely delicate and it will make your life so much easier you have it!
After adhering those two pieces together and to the card layer, I added a piece of the Pool Party 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon and the new Mini Tinsel from the holiday catalog! I die cut the largest circle from the Stitched Shape Framelits out of the Red Glimmer Paper and the next to largest out of Whisper White.
