Rainbow Birthday

Welcome to my newest card series using the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Bundle from the 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog!

 

One question I get asked frequently is where do I find my inspiration. My answer is everywhere. Sometimes it's from a quilt, fabric, color palette or even other crafty mavens!  Today's card was inspired by Amy R from Prairie Paper and Ink. She created a card very similar to this one using supplies from a different crafting company. Let me talk you throw what I did!

 



 

For this card, I started with a white card base. You guys know when I create a white card base I always use our Thick Whisper White card stock. It's super strong and it's my favorite weight for card bases.

I used the Happy Birthday thinlit to cut out the sentiment from a piece of Whisper White. I used the Stampin' Write Markers in the colors Real Red, Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise and Elegant Eggplant.  To help the colors blend, I used a Clear Wink of Stella pen that I had filled with water once the liquid ran out. Our markers and ink pads react beautifully with water! Using the Wink of Stella provided a bit of sparkle!

I punched the balloons using the Balloon Bouquet punch and adhered them using snail. I adhered the sentiment using liquid glue and added our Brights Enamel Shapes.

This is probably my most favorite card ever....well for right now at least :) Make sure to give credit where credit is due if you CASE a card from another crafter!
