I am so excited for this Faux Neon Friday card (on a Saturday). I have been eagerly awaiting my pre-order from the 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog! One of the many perks that comes along with being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is that we get to pre-order new product! While I didn't attend Onstage this year, we still were able to pre-order a new suite! I'll share more about that in an unboxing video soon!
The idea for this card popped into my head after completing the last card. The April 2017 Paper Pumpkin Kit is amazing. I love it and I felt like it really lended itself to this somewhat 80's vibe of this card!
All the usual suspects are used in this card. If this is your first Faux Neon Friday, I use Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise and now...Lemon Lime Twist! I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to really capture the awesomeness of this new 2017-2019 In Color, but it looks perfect.
I cut 1/2" inch strips of every color except Lemon Lime Twist. I don't have the card stock for that color yet. However, I had a piece of Whisper White that was cut to the correct size. I used my ink pad to color the paper and I added it to my card!
I adhered all the strips to the card base from the kit using snail adhesive. I stamped the sentiment, used the Triple Banner Punch to flag the end and added the heart and sentiment with dimensionals.
