Hi everyone!
It's Monday so that means we are focusing on a new stamp bundle. This week I will be making projects using the Lift Me Up Bundle from the 2017 Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog. Click here to request a copy!
For today's card, I knew that I wanted to create an embossed resist background. This is when you heat emboss an image and then you watercolor over it. I love the look of it and I love how soft the background is. I really wanted this gorgeous hot air balloon to be the star of the show.
After heat embossing the clouds onto the watercolor paper, I used an aqua painter and Bermuda Bay ink to add color to the background.
I used the Precision Plate to cut out the hot air balloon overlay. This is a die with a lot of pieces so I used my die brush to get them out. I know it may seem like a silly tool, but it's really awesome!
I finished up by backing the hot air balloon with a piece of the Sending Love Designer Series Paper. I finished off by stamping a sentiment and adding rhinestones!
Guess what?!? You can use the link below to print out the coordinating tutorial which includes a picture, supply list, dimensions and instructions! You can also watch the video of me making this project down below or over at Youtube!
