Christmas in July-Stampin' Up! Pretty Kitty

Hi everyone,

I am back today with, what may be, my most favorite card ever!!!  The moment I saw the Pretty Kitty stamp set from Stampin' Up! and this cute image, the idea for this series was born!

This kitty looks like she is singing to me and I knew I wanted to use her on a Christmas card!

I was a little leery of purchasing the Large Alphabet Framelits from Stampin' Up! because of the price.  However,  it is clearly worth the investment!

 

When I purchased the framelits, I knew what my sentiment for this card HAD to be.  How could it be anything else?  I cut the letters, along with the circle, using my Big Shot, the alphabet framelits and the Layering Circle Framelits.  I used one of the scallops from the Layering Circle Framelits to cut a piece of Real Red.

Speaking of Real Red, the stripped paper is actually from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack. I paired it with Cucumber Crush.  Although I am not a lover of traditional red and green for Christmas, these two are my favorite if I had to pick :)

 

I used my favorite trick of coloring our White Perfect Accents with a sharpie marker.  I love how they turned out!  I also used the new Thick Whisper White and Thick Cucumber Crush Baker's Twine for the bow. When I make these at Christmas time, I may use a real picture of Roxie and have it be an actual ornament!  We'll see :)
